This is doing my head in!
I've recently bought a Dlink DWL-G122 USB wireless NIC which has Vista 64 drivers and installs correctly.
I have a Prestige 660HW router running simple WEP encryption and the NIC connects correctly to the router.
However, in Windows Vista the DLINK only ever says "Local Access only" and refuses to connect to the internet. Under Diagnose and repair it says the problem is that it cannot see the router and do DNS, but the card has a valid IP address that was DHCP assigned by the router!
I have a Linksys 54g NIC too, which works fine, but that lags frequently online with 5 second or so pauses at random intervals. Works fine under XP!
FFS all I want is a decent wireless set-up that works flawlessly with Vista64. After it being out for over a year you would have thought it would be possible.
Any ideas?
