Well, thought I would give it a go as I did not feel like re-installing EVERYTING on my PC.

Seemed to work well enough at first, but system is totally unstable.

And this "feature" is one of the main reasons I got this bloody OS.

I would be tempted to go back to XP so I could use XXCLone again for my primary disk backups, but it would render some of my memory null and void.

Sigh.

So will be reinstalling everything again anyway. Bloody pain in the butt.

Ah, yes, because its so complicated to use. Must have been user error. Must have been one of those countless options MS gives that I ticked by mistake.

/Sarcasm

The only thing that changed on the system, is the disks - which is really what a backup should be used for - disk change/failure.

But since the restore, MS DTCConsole always stops responding within a minute of Windows starting, and on numerous occasions now it has given BSOD, though always something to do with USB.

No settings on my system have changed, and any and all hardware plugged in is exactly the same. And nothing is OCed on this system.

So I am not sure exactly where I could have gone wrong....

Had the disk size changed?

This concern's me as I have been planning on using this as a total restore should my "C" drive go belly up?
