Vistas Firewall.

Hi.
Is there a way to get the Firewall in Vista to act like ZoneAlarm/Sygate? So that it asks what to do, block or unblock for 'new' programs?
It does it very very occasionally, so the ability must be there.

Ideas?

afaik it only prompts when a program wants to act like a server and needs incoming connections. it will never prompt for any program that only needs outbound access and i'm pretty sure there are no settings to change that. it can block outbound access but you need to set up each rule manually.

Well i figured out how to block programs manually. So i'll suppose i'll have to settle with that until a decent firewall gets released for it.

It's not on their website and I emailed them a few months ago and they said it was not yet compatible...

Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0 Alpha is what yer want, its still in beta, but theres plenty using it, final release is sometime in October.
