Vistas theme restrictions

Hi

I have installed a modified Vista uxtheme.dll, and themeui.dll and shsvcs.dll

To enable me to run none sgned themes

However the Vista file I downloaded were not for vistas, they were for XP, now my installation is screwed.

Any ideas how to get the original files restored?

Can sum1 please rar them for me and email me [email protected]

I have got the files, and booted in safe mode command prompt and when tryign to copy from a DVD i get "the process cannot access the file because its being used by another process." for the shsvcs.dll file, the other 2 have copied fine, lets hope this works...rebooting now

Use VistaGlazz if you want to use unsigned themes.

have installed VstaGlazz and now my aero interface is not working...ffs

I Tried VstaGlazz and it borked my Aero too it looks like the download is corrupt on the server as i have tried to pull it down from los of different locations with the same problem. Even tried using a different computere and location.

Not if you have applied SP 1, as it will bork up your system. It is not compatible with Vista when the service pack as been applied.

ah, that explains why my UI would not load, I had to boot into command prompt safe mode and replace mybackup dll's which I originally did not backup (nub) and replace the new modified ones.
