Visual C++ redistributable question (simple)

I currently have Visual C++ redistributable -

2005
2008
2010

All installed.

Can I junk the older versions or will the games\programs that orginally installed them not work with the latest version?

What I'm getting at: Are the latest versions backward compatable?

I'm not 100% sure but I think you likely need them all. Like on a new install they are all there.
