I have an MYSQL database with quite a complex structure that I'd like to visualise... but don't want to draw it by hand preferably. Is there an automated method?

e.g.

l blah l
------ 'blah
------ 'blah
------ 'blah
---------------- 'blah
------ 'blah
l blah l
l blah l

I think that you are looking for an EER (Extended/Enhanced Entity Relationship) modelling tool if you are wanting something that will create a diagram. I don't actually know of any (great help aren't I :P) but perhaps now that you know what its called google may help?

Hi,

Have a look at Altova's DatabaseSpy, link here . Haven't used it myself but I may well in the future. I have used other Altova software e.g XMLSpy and it's top-notch stuff. There's a free 30 day trial version.
