Vitural Memory in CentOS

Hi all
I got a cheap vps on the Internet which I plan to run my minecraft server on, however the vps only has 512mb ram but a 20GB hdd can I get virtural memory in CentOS as I am a noob at Linux and will I be able to use my virtural memory on an ssd to improve my mc server dramatically

It's called swap space in linux. It will be considerably slower than RAM though.

No you won't. Just give up on that idea.

Even if you have an SSD backed swap file / space it won't result in good performance at all especially with something like Minecraft.
