I have been using Vivaldi for a few years now , obviously 2.0 version for only a few days on 10 but not had any issues or crashes .

Not to mention things like video pop-out player, unrivalled search options (several privacy focused search engines, ability to separate search prediction/suggestions between the address/omni bar and/or a dedicated search box for privacy), extremely fast and light (even compared to Chrome), full access to the Chrome WebStore (extensions *and* apps, not just extensions like Opera, Brave et al), excellent sync including all settings/extensions/bookmarks/notes etc... The list goes on and on.

It's set up for privacy by default (search suggestions disabled, Google safe search queries truncated and hashed for obfuscation of your browsing history), and unlike others (Chrome, Opera, Brave etc) is headquartered in Norway and thus falls under EU privacy laws and GDPR. It's secure by design. I use it on everything except my MacBook Pro, where it's a secondary/backup browser to Safari, because gfx acceleration.

It's Chromium underneath, and all extensions and apps from the Chrome webstore work with Vivaldi. That includes uBlock Origin, Canvas Defender, Privacy Possum, Privacy Settings and anything else you wish to use for privacy. You can also use the chrome:// menu shortcut to access all the usual settings menus, including to set the Strict Site Isolation flag.

I've just switched over to Vivaldi after using Google Chrome since it first came out. Some of the customisation options are pretty cool. Seems to be a nice new browser to get used to using.

Given it a play after watching the Teksyndicate video, I like but it doesn't like to run well on older hardware, feels sluggish but on my PC at home it's good. Sadly some sites that require Chrome don't seem to work on Vivaldi which stops it being my new daily browser. Sticking with FF but I do wish they'd implement some of the features Vivaldi currently offer.

I used Vivaldi for a week as my full-time web browser, but I'm going to have to switch back to Google Chrome. I'm not saying it is a bad browser, but it just has too many issues. The biggest one for me is that tab have to load when switching to them if you open the browser with lots of tabs open. They don't load in the background which annoys me.

You can disable that feature, it's to try keeping ram usage down.
