So it looks like those who were hoping for a 'gen 2' sooner rather than later are in for a disappointment, as from the looks of this article the second version of the Vive is still in the very early planning stages. It's not surprising really, as the amount of technology that will be expected to be in a gen 2, higher resolution screens, larger FOV, hand tracking, eye tracking, wireless, not to mention lighter, comfier etc. That's a hell of a lot to plan, build and bring to market at a price point that isn't in the crazy numbers.
