I seem to be having some odd behaviour with my vive controllers when I face towards a light box where the controller can only see one. The controller appears to move slightly on its own or shake. Tracking is perfectly fine if the controller can see both base stations and theres not been any issues with headset tracking. Seems to happen with both controllers and both base stations.

Are the lighthouses FIRMLY secured? They can vibrate which can cause jitter if they're not fixed properly to a firm surface.

Other potential problems could be a sync problem between lighthouses, and reflective surfaces (glossy TVs, monitors, pictures, windows etc). I've also seen erratic behaviour when bringing the controllers near my plasma TV if it's powered up.

Edit: also test the tracking with only one lighthouse powered at a time to see if you get the same issue facing the active lighthouse. One of them might simply be faulty.

Both lighthouses are on tripods as I can't screw anything into the wall, they don't seem to be visibly vibrating. They're about 1 ft from the ceiling and steam hasn't reported any loss of sync. Happens with both lighthouses and both controllers. My monitor is matte but has a black glossy bezel but that's quite a common thing to have so not sure if that could cause the issue.
