Vixta - anyone using it?/Newbie to Linux what to use?

Im planning on playing with Linux on my other hard drive to do my Java Programming on and was wondering if any had this and what is it like.

I like the look of it or should I get the latest Ubuntu or something being a first time Linux user.

OK ill get the latest Unbuntu when it comes out i think.

Dont have a CD to put the ISO on.

Ill have to find one.
