VLC and Vista

Hey,

I just installed vista on my main rig, I have install VLC for my video files but when I play them they have sound but the picture is just red. Is there a way to fix this?

I installed the 7.2 ATI CCC drivers for my X1950XT.

Sounds like a deinterlacing problem.

Rebooting the machine should solve it.

I got the same but with a black screen, had to change the output to OpenGL somewhere in the menu. Apologies for being so vague, haven't got VLC installed again since returning to XP

Google for "VLC sound not video" or such solved it for me

VCL>settings>preferences>Video>output modules>opengl

seems to be fixing a lot of vista/video issues lately

What are you suppose to do when your in that menu? my videos are still playing red?

Go start go to VLC folder click VLC (openGL Mode) or what ever it says. Mine crashes due to a ATI driver bug.
