Weird. I've already got 0.9.8a. Any idea when this was released? And where on earth is the changelist or something like that for VLC on the VLC site?

Yes IM an NOOB and got build wrong

Even 0.9.9 is a ballsup, now I cannot find the last build that worked fully for me after 0.9.6.

Can't see 0.9.9 on the site yet. I'll check later. Any idea where a changelist or version history is on the site? Would love to see one but I can never find it.

And am I right in saying that before the 0.9.x series that you could load VLC, click on the Play button and choose a DVD from that menu? Now you can only choose local files? I loved that feature. Now I have to go to Media > Open Disc.

No idea, I rarely watch DVD's, all .AVI's here.

Would be nice to see a proper changelist whenever a new VLC comes out. Almost worth ditching it and going to MPC or even WMP! :eek:

Not sure what version I'm on but i got an update last night when i loaded VLC and for some reason my first 10 seconds of video are all just a black screen i have to stop and go back to the begining.

Easy to find out your VLC version. Load VLC up, go to Help > About or CTRL + F1.

I cannot find the good 0.9.7 build, all are messed up right up to today's (Nightly Builds) 0.9.9 build, so I'm on a 0.9.6 build with broken Floating Full Screen Toolbar but at least it plays non overlayed and full screen works on TV not jumps back to Monitor.

I don't know WTF this Froggie is doing (obv I cannot code like him) but he is breaking more each build with no fix in sight but if you ask he simply gets angry lol.

I have to say I might join you. I miss being able to play a DVD by pressing the Play button and not have to go to File>Open etc.
