fraps is great, i use it because you can set it to take screenshots at 1 second (or any other specified) intervals, then just hit F10 and sit back as it does all the work for you.

just in case anyone wasn't aware - the version i originally posted about (0.8.6) was updated to 0.8.6a a while back.
