VLC new version

Ah cool. I usually don't really update software unless I do a format and then I want the latest version installed. However VLC is really good for ever expanding its codec list etc...

Got this earlier today. Forgot to post here. I knew they'd been testing a pre-release candidate and just happened upon the site this morning to find they'd released the latest version. Looks good I think.

So whats so good about this VLC malarky then? Im a winamp user.. go on, convert me ;)
I'm a winamp lover too:)
WinAMP is great for music (the best for music I might add) but VLC is the one for videos.
I know that you can install codec's in WinAMP for all kinds of things, but even so, VLC is the one to go for if you want to play videos. Both are installed on my machine, and both have their purposes :)

Exactly my thoughts on the matter. I love Winamp but I just can't use the video functions Winamp has, I really don't like that. So VLC for video/DVDs and Winamp for music.

End of, for me at least.

LOL - VLC will play a pizza bread - quality can be questionable at times but it's pretty good, and really small...

how annoying i just updated vlc yesterday :D
vlc is good, but the only player that i have found that can use subs (.idx and sub files) with a dvd is mpc

winamp for music
vlc + mpc for video

job done.
