VLC or Media Player Classic?

both arent as good as bsplayer imo.
but if i had a choice vlc player , i jsut think it has a few more features over media player classic.

Media Player Classic. I prefer the interface, and it natively supports more formats than VLC.

as i said then... VLC for everything but NAS Streaming.

VLC tend to "just work" for everything.

MPC-HC is far far better at playing H.264 content though. VLC uses tons and tons of CPU whereas MPC-HC, depending upon your hardware, does not - and even then it supports multi-threaded decoding whereas VLC does not.

VLC comes into its own when you've downloaded some non-descript .avi file where you don't have a clue what format it is.

MPC as it copes with everything, execpt for dvds for some reason.

I've always installed VLC and so far, I've never encountered any problems with it. This is probably over a span of more than 5 years and dozens of different file formats.

MPCHC from xvidvideo.ru as mentioned above. MPCHC has DXVA, which VLC doesn't. That's a discussion killer right there in my book; who wants to play 20GB 1080p rips with no GPU acceleration?

MPC-Home Cinema is the nicer app IMO.
Although I do have both installed on my machine.

Yeap, sums it up for me.

Both play everything I've fired at them. I'll probably get rid of VLC at some point.

I use VLC for streaming but MPC HC for films, videos etc. handles everything I throw at it with ease.
