Hey all,

I've recently done a complete wipe on my computer and whilst reinstalling everything I reinstalled VLC as normal. It has been - up till now - the best video player I've used...

However, after reinstalling I've come across problems.

When I play a video on VLC it looks fine until I attempt to go full screen - in full screen it becomes very pixellated, in comparison to what it was like before!

The image above shows a full screen comparison - The left side is VLC in full screen - The right side is Winamp in full screen.

VLC used to show full screen video much smoother (Like it is in Winamp).

(I also don't want to use Winamp for video because running video in winamp is very slow :()

Is there a special codec I'm meant to use?

Thanks,
Marky

It wouldn't be a codec issue, as vlc uses it's own. Try going to the preferences menu and changing the video output mode to directx 3d or any of the other methods, to see if it improves.

Ahh great thanks for that :) I've turned it to OpenGL and it works great :)

Thanks again :)
