VLC weird video playback issues

So i swapped out a crappy generic 15.4" monitor which i had for a better 17" LG that wasn't being used anymore elsewhere.

Now i decided to try out a few avi, mkv ...etc music videos i had using VLC in order to see how the screen looked and if needed to alter anything in the monitors settings but in VLC i am getting the following no matter what type of video i try and play:

I can play the same videos fine with Media Player Classic from the K-lite codec pack so i am not sure what the problem is and how to fix it and need help.

the new VLC has quite a few issues id advise going back to an older VLC build, try 1.0 or 1.05.

I went back to 1.05 since isos were appearing blank with the newer builds....

Hmm my problem seems to have sorted it's self out as i was doing something else that needed me to restart my computer twice and the 2nd restart sorted out my problem for now.
