VLC WMV problems

Ok so VLC plays everything which we all know.

My problem....WMV files will not play i just get scrambled images with odd sound.

I try to play the files in WMP or DIVX etc but they say the files are DRM protected.

I used to be able to play WMV files i dont understand why the sudden change.

Could anyone help without being silly and calling me a pirate? The files are legit i just want to be able to watch them on different devices.

Could try DA Player perhaps? It's free as well.

It sounds like you are trying to play DRM protected files. Have you tried unprotected WMV to see if they play?

Also these DRM files, play them on the computer you purchased them on and see if they play.
