vlite - can't install WAIK

I'm trying to install WAIK so that I can use vlite. However, every time I try to install, it complains that SS_x86.cab is missing or corrupted. I've downloaded both the WAIK 2008 iso and the Vista AIK image and both have the same issue. I've tried copying the contents of the CD to disk, and the same thing happens.

Am I going mad or is MS broken?
 
find 1.1.6 and install that first, then install 1.2 over it, it has the WIM filters in it..

he removed them in 1.2 incase MS slapped him for it

what you need..


wimgapi.dll in the vlite dir.


and..

wimfltr.sys
wimfltr.inf

in the wimflter x86 and x64 dirs (there are 32bit and 64bit versions..)
