Using Vlite to slipstream vista sp1 on vlite.
Os versoin Vista Ultimate x64
6.0.6000.16386]

sp1 download from ms, Windows6.0-KB936330-X64-wave0.exe

goes to about 3/4 of the way across the slipsteraming bar when says slipstream failed, no changes saved???

Anybody had this problem.

You using the beta version correct ??

My guess is, They did the beta release to allow the SP1 slipstreaming, Then realised MS had altered the kernel etc

You should be able to get sp1 slipstreamed, But as i say i'll be highly surprised if you don't get BSOD's at best

Vista beta service packs never allowed slipstreaming. vLite's method should work though.

There is no official way to slipstream SP1 into Vista but it is actually possible to manually slipstream using the reverse integration method, but it's a lot of work. In short you install Vista, install SP1 then recapture the installed image and turn it back into a wim file for Vista setup. The changed kernel etc means nothing, as vLite's method is going to be the same sort of thing.

Anyway, I just tested this myself using vLite 1.2 and the integration worked fine. Is your Vista disc a regular one or has it been vLited/OEM customised in any way?

I have slipstreamed SP1 into Vista 64 many times with no problems. You using the latest beta release.

Sp1 slipstreamed on my x32 buisness edition no problems at all with vlite 1.1 so you must be doing something wrong......

disable defender real-time scanning, and remove any AV programs

you need quite a bit of space (give it 20gb to be totally safe)
