VLNYX is compresses!!!

WTF?!?!?!

Just tried to awaken one of my PC's from hibernation... the PC Posts OK but then I get the message:

"VLNYX is compressed

Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart"

I have never seen this before and neither it seems has Google!

Restarting send me in a never ending circle back to this message again and again.

The error is clearly happening at the point where it searches for a drive to boot from. I have made sure that the W7 x64 OS drive is the first HD in the boot list and have disconnected the rest...to no avail.

The Mobo is a Gigabyte p965-DS4.

boot from something else uncompress any blue (compressed) files, problem solved?

In my horror wasn't thinking straight. Guess if I attach the OS drive to another PC, check no files are blue then try to reboot from it is the sensible way to go.

Well there is no compression on the OS drive at all (as I suspected).

Re-install *** I guess.
