vm 20mb problem newsgroups

is anyone having newsgroup problems? im subscribed to giganews and using grabit and cant get speeds over 100kb. anything else will download at over 200kb. anyone know of any problems

What ISP you using?

Check the title of the thread Virgin media 20mb. I was just getting 250kbs off newshosting then I changed my port to 9000 and speeds are back at 480kbs.

its just doing it with giganews, my ntl acount will do it at over 2000k

VM are definitely throttling here in Leicestershire. I have just downgraded from the 20mb service because there's no point paying extra for the speed if it only lasts for the first GB or so.

May as well save £12 pcm and D/L overnight on 4mb, which is what I have done.

Be prepared for far, far worse if Carlisle get their hands on VM. VC buyouts are always bad news for customer care and service...

im having same problems here was meant to be done on the 2nd july but its still on going heres the page for it
