i am going to be moving into a new house in 2 weeks time so my entanet adsl connection will be going as i can only get 2mbs at the new house:(
the only option i am going for now is the virgin 4mbs cable service which is getting upgraded to 10mbs for the same price.
But i would like to know what are the upload speeds on all the packages? and if it is ok to use my business grade voip on!

no need to bumb your thread after just 2 hours. its the weekend, people are off doing fun stuff instead of browsing the forums all day.

sorry, misread the timestamp, either way, was there realy a need to bump it? it was still midway up the first page.

4mbps serivce is currently 400kbps up
when its 10mb it will be 512 as posted above
and the 20mb service is 756kbps

any questions just ask

I had no idea the upload speeds were so poor, at what point do you have to reach before the upload can't support the download?

The upload speeds are fine.

Okay your not going to be hosting a 64 man game server or anything but for general purpose its fine.

What exactly do you mean?

What's the maximum download speed you can have with a 512k upload before the ACK packets start to slow the download down? It's a purely theoretical question because no ISP would ever get to that stage, but it would be nice to know how much headroom there is at the moment.
