Hi guys,

Don't suppose any of you could help as VM have been useless so far. I'll give some background.

Problem has been going on for about 5 weeks. We are in 3rd month of contract (i.e it used to be fine before). So everyday at seemingly random times, my internet cuts out (still connected to router) but I get DNS errors constantly.

So an engineer came round and turned off IP flood detection and firewall services (not to pleased with the latter) and fiddled with some other stuff. Said there was too much power going through and that I should turn my router off overnight (never heard that one before). Don't think he meant my noise ratio.

It was fine for about a day and then the problems came straight back. After numerous phonecalls to VM not much help has been provided (nothing that provides a permanent solution anyway).

So I rung them tonight and they got me to turn multicast off... No idea what it does and not holding out much hope that it'll do anything that lasts.

So, do you guys have any ideas as you've always been so knowledgeable in the past :)

Thanks!

I'm assuming you have the superhub, many people report issues with wireless and from your post I'm also guessing your using wireless.

I've got a superub but do not use wireless and with a wired connection its flawless, it does seem lots of people are having issues with wireless, apparently virgin are working on a firmware fix for this.

Some people have been using their old wireless router in the mean time if they have to use a wireless connection.

Hey, nah it's just the normal hub I use. It happens even when im connected via wire though.
