VM in bristol area

Hi, im on VM's XL package and was wondering what other people in the Bristol area are getting regarding speeds etc.


I download of stuff and my speed without going over the 3GB limit during peak times is still not anywere near the 20mb mark, be lucky to be getting 12 sometimes.


any help or comments are appreciated

In Yate myself and I have no problems getting the full 20mb from a fast source (Giganews for example).

i use usenetserver, used to use newshosting but that was overpriced.

What cable modem are you using? Some of the older modems have trouble getting the full 20mb, same goes for some routers.

That's your problem right there, that modem can't support the full 10mb. Use this webpage to get a modem upgrade:
