VM speed dropped from 60 to 30?

VM speed dropped from 60 to 30?
The internet connections seems fine but why has it gone down with the speed?
Today I was downloading a game of steam with 7.9mb/s and now it barley reaches 4mb/s :confused:

What do you expect?

I have similar issues, they're always throttling (and slowing) your connection down.
 
Moving into a new flat with three other people. The flat is two tiered. Currently on Virgin 100MB with the older Super Hub, which is terrible so I bought my own router. Will 60MB, with the new Super Hub and my router, be sufficient for 4 people? I will be the more prolific user, the two women will probably use it for browsing & streaming, and the other guy will watch sports/stream/some downloading. I am building an HP N54L as a HTPC to watch TV, stream sports, catch up TV services etc.

Trying to keep costs down and may be able to justify the 100MB package to the others but thought 60MB should do. Any thoughts?
 
If there's lots of streaming and some downloading then I imagine 60mb may struggle at times.

That said, you can simply order the 60mbit and then upgrade to 100mbit if you decide it's an issue?
 
Sorry IC3 - I thought I was in the main VM thread :o

Cheers FT, didn't think of that. So taking a 12 month 60MB contract, we can upgrade to the 100MB package at any time for the remainder of the 12 months?
