VM SuperHub - Is it safe turning Firewall Features off?

ive read that it runs better if the firewall features is turned off, my question is, is this safe to do?

Did you read it runs better that way, or people have configured it so the features are off as they have a second router plugged into it and are allowing the second router to do the firewall functions?

Turning the firewall off and ip flood off reduces pings and packet loss

It's not exactly safe or advised practice no, but you would still be behind NAT and if you leave your Windows firewall turned on you should be ok.
