VM superhub wall mounting?

No you just have to have it flap around like the unstable P.O.S it is..

The most poorly designed thing ive ever seen. Its so tall, doesnt even fit in my "router hole" :@

Make sure you phone VM and tell them how crap their super hub is. Maybe one day they will give us a normal box shaped router again.

am i missing something here ? it works and its free ? good wireless and you can use it just as a modem if u wish ?

You cant use it as just a modem, there is workarounds and a way via ssh terminal to put it into bridge mode but doesnt work on all FW's and as a router its pants.

I use the workaround to connect it to my pfsense box.

1) Its not free for everyone.

2) Its massive and such a waste of space. Has a stupid blue light that is so obtuse it lights the whole room. They could easily just make a flat 6x4 inch box to house it in. Atleast this could be integrated into a normal shelf setup instead of the stupid curvy shape it is now.

3) It is SO light that if flops around unless you litterally glue it down.

4) User interface is made for absolute morons who know nothing about anything. The "advanced settings" are still pathetically simple and dumbed down.

The only people who actually like the Superhub are the "plug and play, laptop owning, blue light loving, facebook addicts.."

Just an absolute POS in general. Made for people who wouldnt know what end of a dart to throw.

Im a CCNA and find it infuriating.
Its too simple and too "pretty"

You want a Cisco IOS? :D

There'd be a lot more people complaining than there is now.

It works, it is easy to navigate, most settings a typical home user would need are on it and for me it's been fairly solid.

I only wish it was smaller and that blue light wasn't so damn bright and annoying and I guess there could be some more options for networking guru's.

Id love the IOS!
But yea its size annoys me the most tbf

For anybody that's interested it can be wall mounted.

Remove stand, then on the bottom in a recess there is a tiny torx screw. Undo this and the cover will slide off. Cover circuit board with some tape I used duct tape to prevent screws from shorting the board out.

With the cover removed you can easily measure up and drill 2 keyholes. Replace the cover put 2 screws in the wall and hey presto.

There are hook mounts on the back of the superhub. They are 4 rectangular holes located just outside the corners of the label on the back.

Wouldn't be too hard to fabricate some sort of bracket out of a peice of wood and some screw-in hooks.
