VM within SBS2011

Is it possible to run a VM within SBS2011 like you can with windows 7 to emulate an OS such as XP?

Reason is we have some old (but critical) 16bit dos based software and it wont run under SBS2011 because its proper 64bit system.

Are there any friendly/easy solutions?

Personally I’m struggling to think of a critical 16 bit DOS application that would need to be server based.

Thats because its a bespoke application. It doesnt need to be server based technically but for ease of backups and access to all users the server is the obvious place for it to be.

No, it doesnt work like that.

There is a local client element, and a server side element just like many applications these days. The problem wiht this one is its 15 years old and dos based!

Its currently running under Win XP on a machine that is used as a server.

We have now got a proper server with SBS2011 on it and are awaiting delivery of the new systems to replace the DOS software, sadly we will still need occasional access to it hence the need to make it run.
