vmdg 280 packet loss

According to the thinkbroadband graph im getting 100% packet loss. I never had problems when using my old virgin modem. Any reasons this happening ?

Open the router's web interface and allow ping/ICMP.

In the last couple of hours my Virgin BB has been TERRIBLE. One minute it's fine and then all of a sudden it struggles to open even ocuk. Keeps disconnecting from my PS3, speed test is all over the place

There might be something labelled WAN Ping Response or similar.

Think broadband works by measuring the reply latency of 'ping' packets (ICMP). Just need to get your router to reply.

Enable it.

Your router will then respond to ping requests coming from the internet thus solving your problem.

Thanks that worked now is there anythink i can do about the download speed going up and down all the time instead of staying steady ?

As above, if you're not leaving bandwidth free for a swift ICMP reply, your latency will rise.
