VMWare ESXi 3.5 Licensing

Greetings, could someone clarrify the licensing model for the free installable release of ESX 3.5i.

Does the free license cover the entire host or is it limited to a single cpu?

When you download it and request your license you enter the number of sockets in the hardware platform. From what I recall the options we're 1 or 2

Cheers for the response, ive checked the ESX 3.5i Up2 download page and the response im getting is

"On how many CPU's do you plan to install ESXi?" Quantity 1-999

One would assume that if i select a multiple that would be equivilant to the number of sockets i wish to license and not the number of cores?
