VMWare Fusion on MacBook (New/Current Model)

I am thinking of installing Windows Vista (as I have spare version) onto my MacBook using VMWare Fusion 3 and wondered if anyone can give me any pointers as to how well it will work. I only want it for business use, so don't need 3D or gaming performance so wondered if it will work OK on my new MacBook?

Strangely enough, I'm finding that Parallels 5 runs all versions of Windows faster than Fusion 3. However, Ubuntu 64 bit runs like a dog on Parallels and runs great in VM Fusion 3.

Both would be fine for business use though (I'm actually using Parallels for Visio in a Win2003 VM).
