Vmware help - network adapter ??

Hi,

something wierd is going on with Vmware. I hav bridged the network connection.

it gets a valid IP address however unable to go to any website or even the router ip address.

i can ping it from my host machine.

if i change it to NAT then the guest machine can use the internet, any ideas ??

have disabled firewall on both machines for now.

Isn't what you have described normal behaviour??

in the guest os, set the router (default gateway) and the dns server address in the ip properties to 192.168.x.2

substiute x with whatever number vmware has chosen for your virtual network....
