VMWare Inet Connection

Im new to linux and just using puppy linux in vmware atm, but I cant get it to use the internet? Can anyone help, im sure its an easy question but I just cant find an answer.

Inside VMware I think there is a way to 'bridge' the Ethernet adaptor. I think you need to customise the 'virtual hardware' options.

I can't give you an example as I use Virtual Box.

Well i gave up with the vmware player and am going to install in vmware server but it wont let me enter my serial number it just says:

You do not have permissions to perform this operation


Any ideas?

Edit: dont worry figured it out. Run as Administrator :]
