vmware - issue

Hi there,
I've installed Vmware and the only opinion i get is to connect to a host. I cant install a virtual machine.

any ideas why?

Im running windows 2008 64x.

VMware server - that is correct isnt it?

I've tried to enter my username and password and host as the IP address of the network card. But no luck 'logging in'.
Oh by the way if i enter my ip address and details - i get the message 'connection refused'.

Any other ideas?

I've just bought the workstation verison and its seems to be working now. I'll be posting again if there is an issue.
