VMware on 64 bit vista

Anyone got this running? I cannot even get past the VM login console when installed on 64 bit

Want to make the most of all my RAM, which I've got 4 Gig.

No way could I get it working. VMware server 1.05 on Vista 64 Bit Ultimate. Some of the VM ware forums say there are all sort sof issues with VMWare n 64 bit... ??? I could not even log on past the console in 64 bit. :mad:

Also tried the 2.0 beta. Could not even get to the VM console with that, only the tomcat front page :mad:

I have dropped back to 32 bit and it all works fine. Haven't tried the 2.0 server though.

Likewise with the Winpcap application. Unstable on 64 bit.

Why can't thee application runs on 64 bit for goodness sake? What's the big deal? :confused:

It must be a problem with your install, VMware Server beta 2 works fine on my Vista 64

Have you tried installing as Admin?

I dont think I did anything special at all to get mine running, but if you are having these issues when no one else is, then thats not VMWare.
