VMware Passthrough (Keyboard smart card reader)

Is this possible?

I read conflicting info, basically, grab the smart card device ID from device manager and then tweak a file or similar.

Hoping someone here as experience with this and can help me out.

Try running VM in full screen mode, and replug the keyboard? This was the only way to get my phone recognized to flash the firmware. Running it full screen seems to make it grab devices rather than the host os.

I had to add drivers manually for "virtual usb ccid" when I pass my smartcards through to the VM's
