Hey i'm having a Windows/VMWare Workstation problem

i'll go to load VMWare Workstation and i'll sit and watch the memory usage in Task Manager, and it goes to 29,000K MEM Usg. and stops loading...

any ideas on whats going on?

i think i have a windows problem, its happening with other applications
and locking them into memory too...

The problem is still occuring.
The same happened with VLC, it wont show the GUI or the Video but i can hear sound playing.

i've dont a system repair and re-installed the software, done a virus scan. still i have no idea... anyone have any suggestions?
preferably something that wont require re-formatting D:
 
Have you tried a scandisk? It's amazing how many problems it fixes as it looks through system files as well!

Have you tried VirtualBox? It should be able to open VMWare images.

I'll give it a try now, does it have the same functionality?
