What is vmware exactly? I've been told I can use it to play a game that has compatibility problems with windows xp.

So I will need a copy of windows 98? Dungeon Keeper 2 just won't play without crashing every 20mins on xp pro without sound disabled, even with the compatiblity wizard enabled.

It has very low requirements so it shouldn't be a problem, according to the publishers website.

Minimum Specs:

Pentium 166MHz MMX
32Mb RAM
No need for 3D acceleration (software 3D)

Dungeon keeper 2. Graphics are pretty good for the required specs.

Yep I've tried pretty much everything. At least I can install the game, loads of people have had problems just trying to do that on xp.

I'm not having that problem though, the issue I'm having is related to sound, it works fine with it disabled.
