VNC for linux??

Going to install VNC on a Linux rig tonight... just had a few questions really...

1. Does it work?
2. would it work on from windows - Linux?
3. Anyone got any instructions on how to achieve this??

Might want to take a look at FreeNX. Remote desktop equivalent so much higher performance as the graphics are constructed at the client end.

Not sure what distro you're using, but a quick Google with "freenx install" and then your distro should throw up a specific guide
