VNC , which version is 2008 server friendly ?

Hi Folks,
I need to get vnc on a 2008 server , can anyone recommend a free version
that works well with it ?
The machine is behind a proxy and I cannot use uvnc because it needs to
connect to the internet to download the cad.exe and other components when
installing.

With UVNC just unselect the options to download the vista driver and the mirror driver then it will install and operate fine.

I've done this twice today...

i have tried uvnc but it runs like a dog (seriously slow mouse/screen updates)
and I cant get the crtl alt del to work

I find VNC slow at the best of times. You might be right that UVNC is especially slow on 2k8 but it does it's job for us well enough.

Why not just enable RDP and connect to the console session instead of letting it spawn a new one?
