Hey all,
I've got 2 machines - 4 if you count the macs.
Currently I've got UltraVNC installed on my Windows Vista Laptop, and on the downstairs Dell Windows XP/MCE machine. I bought a cheap Asus wireless card to put into the Dell so it could have wireless instead of trailing wires around the place. First thing that struck me is that wireless signal on the Dell is so low, speed hovering around 1-2mbps, despite not being far from the router. Laptops in the same place get perfect signal. But the most annoying thing is, when I try to VNC the Dell to sort stuff out, the wireless on the dell disconnects itself. VNC gets as far as accepting my password and bringing up the "waiting for desktop" screen, but never gets any further.
I've tried updating the drivers, uninstalling the card etc... nothing worked so far.
Any ideas guys?
