Vodafone internet / Blackberry internet

Hey guys,

I have an unlimited internet bundle with vodafone but I'm considering getting an unlocked blackberry before I get my next upgrade in January. Since it won't be bought/pre-configured via vodafone, will I be able to use my internet package through the phone?

Blackberries are a bit of a grey area to me atm but I understand that you need blackberry bis to be able to use internet/mail on their handsets?

Will I be alright

Would I need to do anything?

You should be fine ... if any major problems Vodafone can give you any settings that you may require. My 8900 is on O2 and it worked fine when I switched over to Orange.

BIS will give you everything that you need, push e-mails, Internet, BB Messenger, etc.

Just ask Voda to add BIS to your line...

The guys are spot on here.

The only things I'd add are that BIS will be an additional £5.00 per month and if you're purchasing a second BlackBerry it's worth checking that the seller has de-registered it with their provider so that you don't run into any problems when you come to registering it.
