Hey guys,

I set a mate up with one of those usb mobile broadband adaptors and now he wants to send email through the connection. He's using a ukonline account and outlook as a mail client.

It shouldn't be a problem, but does anyone know what the vodafone mobile mail servers are or if you require a password of any kind?

Cheers!

I don't know that they offer any, much better option is to see if your mail account provider supports off network access (you'll need to login of course..). If not, get a better provider.

I've found out that the outgoing (which is what I need) server is smtp.vodafone.net but if that was used wouldn't it require some kind of password authentication?

I know someone that has a zen broadband connection, but is able to send his orange email through it via zen's outgoing mail server - he needs to authenticate it with his zen broadband username and password tho... this was the kind of thing I was trying to achieve with vodafone :)
