Thats not going to help for a 403 error. CUPS is running & the URL is right, it just needs the right username.

Try:

http://USER:PASSWORD@http://vodafone.powerhub:631/printers/Kyocera-FS-1030D_XMF6806149

Replace the username and password with the router login.

If there's a setting on the printer page to add a username + password, enable that and use those instead.

I think that would work, but it is too much of a risk to provide router credentials via http. At this point, I am going to give up and attach the printer directly to my main PC.

It does have an extra http://, so it should have looked something like (ref for others):

http://USER:[email protected]:631/printers/Kyocera-FS-1030D_XMF6806149

However, passing credentials via a URL is risky and I certainly would not be passing my router credentials this way (my thanks to Leezer3 for suggesting though).
