Just picked myself up a litre of proper Russian Vodka, any suggestions on what drinks to make out of it? I've got some Coke and energy drinks and some Skittles but was wondering what else can be done with it :)

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I see what you mean. I need to get some equally high end stuff to mix it with, I just tried some of it straight and never tasted vodka that is as nice :D

Russian Standard is being mentioned but have we worked out what the OP has?
I find the French stuff like Grey Goose or Polish such as Belvedere is far nicer than most Russian Vodka.
Mind you, now I can't drink at all anymore I'm looking longingly at my rather decent vodka collection :(

If you want an alternative option rather than drinking suggestions, Skittles Vodka.

Its this

So I should chill it for a while and then drink it neat? Seems to be the general consensus ... I shall report back later :p

Haha I just started drinking it neat in double measures and I have to admit its not entirely flavoursome so I did add some coke to give it a nicer taste, but I fear a backlash on these forums now :P

Where can I find some of these Ukraine, Russian vodkas in the UK or do I have to import them?

There is a Polish store near me actually, and a Russian one but I never considered asking them for Vodka, but now you mention it!

Is there such a thing as a black russian, or are they so racist that they didnt make a drink thats black?!

Yes there is such a thing, I think its Vodka mixed with Coffee Liquor or something.

I've tried ZUBROWKA recently and that was smooth and lovely, but extremely strong :p

Russian Standard is £11 at Sainsburys.

Finlandia £11.68 (well worth the 68p imo, bit I am biased, as I am half Finnish. :D).

Again, you have to try Finlandia Grapefruit Fusion. It is incredibly good on its own, or with tonic, or even lemonade. Something about the grapefruit when shooting it from the freezer seems to take away any form of burn.

Both are very good though.

Eristoff is a tenner. Avoid like Smirnoff. :)

Is that for the large bottle or the small one? Sorry I don't know exact sizes :)
