Voice recognition

Anyone got experience with any decent free voice recognition programs out there?

Got a friend whos having troubles sitting at the computer for long periods of time and needs some alternate way of getting words onto the computer. If the software is good enough i guess cost is no real problem.

Vista comes with Speech recognition but if you want third party then Dragon Naturally Speaking is very good.

The voice recognition software that comes with Vista is still some ways behind Dragon, there are freeware softwares around but still it is Dragon that is considered to be the number 1 software in this area.

The intial period of working with Dragon is crucial for getting the best results from it (as it gets used to your voice), so some patience is required at the beginning, but once it has got used to your vioce, it will produce decent results...
