VOIP Handset Phones

I want to get a few phones but I've heard from some folk say that one should get a good one because a lot of the phones around have cheap speakers in the handset that makes the quality of the voice sound a tad poor.

Does one have any recomendations, certain phones to look out for etc.

A £20 phone on ebay would do an on par job as a phone at £30+?

At my mums work they have VOIP Skype Internet Phones, thats their name I cant remember who they're made by, but the sound quality is clearer than it was with normal telephone lines and theyre quite cheap at £25

By VoIP, do you just mean a USB handset, or a proper VoIP phone like a Cisco?

A USB would be the prefered choice.

I bought 2 Yamamoto handsets....total carp. Much better with good headset/mic.

I meant a USB handset but not those ones that look like mobile phones, the quality is very good and sometimes better than with a normal line.

I would get one of the 'official' Skype branded ones, as they work very well.. Very clear calling and easy to use/setup. Lots of speed dialling and other handset features, and plugs into your USB.

the Yamamoto ones are USB

TomaHawk do you have the silver/orange 'real phone' skype phone? This is the one that my mum has, very good and speed dialing etc

I spotted this desk VOIP phone for £30. Looks nice and might be worth the money.
