Good day all.
I am looking for some help and advice with regards to VOIP on mobile devices.
With my home computer I have always used Skype for my VOIP calls, and found it to be fine.
But in the last few months I have been trying out VOIP software on my mobile devices, and I just want to scream.
When I am connected to a WiFi network on the mobile devices, the VOIP lags, stutters, distorts, or the connection just plain drops out.
So trying to have any kind of conversation is just impossible, and extremely frustrating.
But if I disable the WiFi and use the VOIP over 3G, it seems so much more stable than using WiFi.
The home router is a Billon 7800n with the latest firmware version, and we are on a 80/20 FTTC connection.
So far I have tried the following software, Skype, Viber, etc, but all seem to have the same problem with connected to WiFi, but works fine on 3G.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your time.
Best Regards.
